Functionaliteit is een belangrijk aspect

Dit is wat een aantal studenten in een groepsdiscussie erover zegt (erg veel nadruk op functionaliteit)
Een community is succesvol wanneer:
- you have free entrance to the facilities
- it contains innovative features
- it is easy accessible
- It is easy to use
- the network contains a good search function
- you are able to view the web statistics to see who looked at your profile
- anonymity is guaranteed
- there is a friendly look and feel of the network
- there is a good atmosphere
- You are able to add friends
- there is interaction with others
- you are able to add personal files, like photo’s
- You are able to share interests with others.
- You are able to see how others are doing
- it contains interesting content, e.g. interesting information over specific topics
